Claudine Yancy, 95, of Baytown, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 in Houston. She was born August 24, 1921 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to her late parents, Jim and Etta Mary Ellis.
Mrs. Yancy attended 7th Street Church of Christ and loved all of the congregation. She has been a resident of Baytown since 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doy “Mr. D” Yancy; daughter, Norma Shaw; son, William Yancy and a grandson, Eddy Cox.
Survivors include her sons, Mel Yancy and his wife, Lenor and Coy Yancy and his wife, Terry; daughter Freda Cox and her husband, Lowell. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She also leaves behind her brother, Tommy Ellis and her sister, Mary Bartlette.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Navarre Funeral Home. Another visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Sierra View Funeral Home in Marysville, California. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Sierra View Funeral Home with Stan Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at the Sierra View Memorial Park in Marysville.
