Jeffery “Williece” Douglas, 83, of Beach City, Texas, passed away on, February 19, 2018 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, after a battle with pneumonia.
Visitation will be held at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas, Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 9:00 - 10:00 am. Funeral service will follow at 10:00 am with Pastor Richard Steele and Pastor Mark Broussard of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will follow at Sterling White Cemetery in Highlands, Texas.
Williece was born in Columbia, Mississippi, to Forrest and Maybell Magee on July 8, 1934. She was a beautician at John’s Beauty Shop in Baytown until her retirement in 1975 to take on her most favorite position as Grandmother and chief spoiler of her grandchildren and great children. She loved to cook for everyone and everyone loved eating at her table; no one ever left her home hungry.
Williece is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Maybell; brother Truett Magee and two sisters Ruby McCullough and Janeen Weatherford.
Williece is survived by James Douglas, her loving husband of 67 years; sister and brother-in-law Joan and Jack Majors of Baytown, Texas; and, brother Earl Magee of Oklahoma.
She is also survived by her children daughter, Cassondra Lloyd of Baytown, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Becky Douglas of Oakwood, Texas; daughter and son-in-law Deborah and David Alden of Beach City, Texas.
Williece is also survived by six grandchildren and their spouses Cassie and Rich Scott; Jamie and Jenny Douglas; Candace and Ricky McCullough; Seth Douglas; Jesse and Jackie Lloyd; and, Zoebee Lloyd. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
Love, laughter and food will never be the same without her; she will be missed by everyone that knew her. She leaves the world a better place, but has gone to an even better place where we will see her again. Forever our Queenie.
