Robert "Bob" Pulcher, 73, of Baytown was born September 23, 1940 in Refugio, TX and passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013, in a Houston hospital. He played basketball at Tyler Junior College and earned a masters degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He attended First Baptist Church and was a retired educator with the Barbers Hill School District, where he taught wood shop, driver's education, and he drove a school bus. He loved his family and dedicated his life to his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Leoma Pulcher; wife, Carolyn Pulcher; brothers, Joe Pulcher and Jess Pulcher; and sister, Alice Pulcher. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Lori and Patrick Paris of Spring and Jamey Pulcher of Baytown; sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and D. J. Pulcher of Baytown and Chad and Amy Pulcher of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Al Dee and Jessie Lou Pulcher of Corpus Christi; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Marshall Freeman of Kyle; and grandchildren, Breyn, Austen, Makena, Doryn, Matthew, Ryan, Maile, and Acey.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, December 2, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 505 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521, with Rev. Bill Yowell officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
