Luis Juan Rodriguez, 67, of Baytown, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Baytown. He was born January 15, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas to his late parents, Juan Rodriguez and Ramona Flores Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez had lived in Baytown for the last 41 years and was retired from the Custodial Department of the Goose Creek School District. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, a very active member of the choir there and was an accomplished guitar player. His biggest enjoyment was being with his grandchildren.
Luis was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Sofia Rodriguez; son, George Rodriguez and his wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob and Matthew Rodriguez; brothers, Manuel Rodriguez and his wife Mercedes and Eugene Rodriguez and his wife Margarita all of Baytown; sisters, Maria and Margarita of Kaufman, Texas and numerous nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Navarre Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Rudy Venegas officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be George Rodriguez, Andrew Rodriguez, Andrew Salinas, Ovidio Salinas, David Morales, Osvaldo Barba and Salvador Barba.
