Lawrence Lauderdale, 76, of Baytown, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 in Houston. He was born August 28, 1940 in Baytown to his late parents, Solon Lauderdale and Edna McKinney Lauderdale.
Lawrence was a lifetime resident of Baytown, member of Missouri Street Church of Christ and was a retired millwright from Halliburton after many years of service. He was also a US Army Veteran serving from 1963-1969 in the Army attaining a final rank of PFC E-3 and was an expert rifleman with the M-1 and the M-14.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bonnie Hance.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Lana Lamb Lauderdale; daughters, Vicki Ford, Laci Holden and Karianna Lauderdale; granddaughters, Tristanna Ford, Savanna Hospedales and her husband, Justyn, Taylor Ford and her fiancÚ, David Stone and Sadie McMullen; great-grandchildren, Kyndall Hospedales, Brenning Ford, Brilynn Stone and Kalyse Hospedales; father-in-law, Orton Joseph Lamb; sister, Leona Jones and her husband, David and several nieces.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Navarre Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at Missouri Street Church of Christ with David Smith officiating followed by graveside service at 1:45 p.m. at Houston National V.A. Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Melvin Johnson, Hayden Johnson, Heath Johnson, Marc Johnson, Tommy Surles and Yap Montgomery.
