Betty L. Foreman, 75, of Baytown was born August 30, 1935 in Baytown and passed away at home Sunday, November 21, 2010. She was a 1953 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and a graduate of Florida Baptist Theological College. She was an active member of Wooster Baptist Church and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, walking each year until she was too ill to participate. She retired from Lee College in 2000 as the administrative assistant to the president.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R. C. "Rip" and Lucille Lindsey and brothers, Horace Lindsey and Lloyd Lindsey. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Derral Foreman of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Thad Harper of Clinton, MS; sister, Mary Hayden of Baytown; brother, Donnie Lindsey of Alvin; grandchildren and their spouses, Ashli and Jonathan Moore of Destin, FL, Joshua and Rebecca Harper of Clinton, MS, and Jacob and Brandee Harper of Baytown; and 7 great grandchildren with an 8th one on the way.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Wooster Baptist Church, 7007 Bayway Dr., Baytown, TX 77520 with Dr. Mack Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Foreman, Jonathan Moore, Joshua Harper, Jacob Harper, Cameron Redus, and Glynn Foreman.
