Betty Earline Robinson, 92, went to be with her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at her home in Baytown. She is now singing and dancing with the angels in heaven and walking arm in arm with Jesus. She was born in Polk County, Georgia on December 22, 1924 to Dallas Cornelius Wigley and Mary Ruth Childers Wigley. She was the oldest of her four siblings but outlived them all. She not only was their older sister but was also their caregiver and took very good care of them while they were young. This prepared her for the life she would have as a young mother. She was a very strong and wise woman both in body and spirit and loved the Lord with all her heart. She always had a good story to tell. She married Henry “Grady” Robinson in Aragon, Georgia on July 12, 1942. They had seven children in all, four in the first five years of marriage and the other three were born several years later. Though she traveled around the US with her family much of her married life, she came to live in Texas and eventually in Baytown in the early 1960’s. Grady passed away in March 1976 at the age of 57. She remained a widow for 41 years until her death. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Channelview, TX for the past seventeen years and loved her church. She loved playing the guitar and singing praises to the Lord with a very joyful heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas Wigley and Mary Ruth Mull; her husband, Henry Grady Robinson; her son, Hugh Don Robinson; her brothers, Gerald Wigley, Donald Wigley, Wendell "Mickey" Wigley, and Bennie Wigley; her sister, Glenda Morris; her daughter-in-law, Diane Robinson; her sons-in-law, Raymond Gilbert, Sr., and Terry Hess; her grandsons, Raymond Gilbert, Jr., Russell Gilbert, and Edward Grady Robinson. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Maureene Randolph and husband, Harold, Louise Gilbert, Linda Ann Seitz and husband, Ed, and Twilia Kay Hess; her sons, Ronnie Leslie Robinson and Marty Ray Robinson and wife, Penny; her grandchildren, Eric Randolph, Rochelle Hardie and husband, Chris, Katherine Randolph, Rebecca Lara and husband, Gerardo, Rodney Gilbert and wife, Jenny, Randall Gilbert and wife, Lonny, Roger Gilbert, Ramona Harrell and husband, David, Rachel Compton and husband, Brian, Michelle Williams and husband, Mike, Dustin Robinson and wife, Misty, Ashley Webb and husband, Jason, Loretta Polaski, Sara Anz and husband, Joseph, Alicia Hamiliton and husband, Jeff, Ryan Robinson, Rachel Gomez and husband, Santos, Terry Hess and wife, Angela and numerous great grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren. The family will receive guests on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Crest Cemetery with Pastor Kelly Courtney officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
