Bernice Hales Adkins, 86, of Baytown was born July 31, 1926 in Goose Creek and passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 in a local assisted living facility. She was a member of Old River Baptist Church and a very loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Annie Parker; son, George Wayne Hales; former husband, George Wesley Hales; and a sister and four brothers. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George Willis and Donna Hales of Canyon Lake; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda Adkins of Boerne, Brenda and Robert Berry of Bulverde, Retta and Darrell "Chip" Pryor of Mont Belvieu, and Debra and Tim Taylor of Rockville, MD; grandchildren, Kimberly Rockwell, Pierce Adkins, Cade Adkins, Leslie Lide, George Wesley Hales, Beth Ann Pryor, Emily Pryor, Whitney Berry, Tatum Taylor, and Sloane Taylor; great grandchildren, Conner Hales Rockwell, Courtney Lunceford, and Lily Grace Lide; and great great grandson, Keith Allen Lunceford.
A memorial service will be Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Old River Baptist Church, 12948 FM 1409 Dayton, Texas 77535 with Rev. Danny Biddy officiating.
